Regional Sales Manager
A well known name within engineering, industrial & hydraulic equipment are continuing on there journey of growth and are working with DB Charles Recruitment to hire a new Regional Sales Manager that will be tasked with growing new distribution relationships in Africa and other identified areas.
The role will report directly into the Head of Sales and require frequent international travel, with the main aim of the role to grow new distribution relationships within Africa, as well as managing and maintaining many key existing ones. The goal is to consistently achieve profitable revenue streams, whilst ensuring service and customer satisfaction is upheld.
Key day to day duties for the role will involve:
- International travel to Africa and other worldwide locations
- Creating new distribution relationships
- Managing existing relationships
- Working towards sales targets
- Achieving KPI’s
- Aiding in technical queries
- Providing reports & quotations
- Negotiations
- Demonstrating exceptional product knowledge
- Analysing the market & competitors
- Forecasting
- Creating long term sales strategies
For this role, the client is looking to see CV’s with many of the following aspects:
- A previous sales background within engineering / industrial equipment / hydraulics is a must
- Ideally someone that holds an engineering qualification or degree, however not essential
- Happy committing to a role with very frequent international travel
- Fluent in French
- Language skills in Portuguese & Arabic would be highly advantageous
- Holder of a UK driving license
- Strong MS Office skills in particular with MS Excel
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Driven and happy working to a role with sales & KPI targets
- Passport holder
- Happy to commit to a hybrid role, requiring travel to the head office in Daventry
This role will be working Monday to Friday, with standard hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm with an early finish on Friday of 4:00pm. Depending on experience, the client is looking to offer a base salary of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum with additional bonus schemes on top.
