Financial Accountant

DB Charles have partnered with an incredibly successful business based in Shildon, Durham, with various sites throughout the UK, that are currently seeking to hire a new permanent member of staff as a Financial Accountant.

The business are based in the manufacturing & distribution sector and the role as Financial Accountant, will report directly into the Finance Lead and be joining a department 11 people strong.

The role holds a variety of duties and responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Providing accounting support to the senior leadership team
• Variance analysis
• Year end statutory accounts
• Tax reporting
• Ledger duties
• Balance sheet reviews
• Process controls
• Reporting
• Data analysis
• Excel & financial systems based work

Ideally the client is looking for CV’s and to interview candidates with the following skill sets:

• Experienced in a role encompassing the duties above or a career background as a Financial Accountant / Accountant
• A manufacturing background is essential
• Will consider qualified in either ACCA, CIMA or ACA
• Strong MS Excel skills and it would be advantageous to have systems skills in either Epicor, Sage, Oracle or Winman
• Strong time management skills
• Excellent ability to multi task
• Pressure handling skills
• Ability to commit to a permanent role based in Shildon, Durham, please note hybrid working will be available upon successful completion of training

The role will be working Monday to Friday with hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm and can offer a highly competitive salary, which will be disclosed upon conversation with the recruiter.
