Field Service Engineer
A well established and growing IT group business are working with DB Charles Recruitment to hire a new fully remote Field Service Engineer to operate remotely and onsite with a number of top clients based in and around the Berkshire / Buckinghamshire / Oxfordshire area.
The business has been established for over 10+ years and in this time has seen great growth in turnover but also the size of personnel involved and they are now hoping to attract a new candidate to join the engineering team of 4.
The Field Service Engineer will work remotely and report into the Operations Manager and they will ideally need to live / be based in or close to the Berkshire / Buckinghamshire / Oxfordshire area. They will have overall responsibility for ensuring client and customer systems are working in full working order, repaired in quick time whilst delivering excellent customer service. The majority of the work will be remote field work onsite with clients, plus some workshops at the head office in Henley. Day to day responsibilities will include:
- Service / system installation and maintenance
- Repairs
- Troubleshooting
- Upgrades & modifications
- Ordering required parts
- Client / customer timeline management
- Administration & reporting duties
For this role, the client is looking for CV’s to hold a number of the below aspects:
- A previous Field Service Engineer background from an IT / App business
- Must hold a full UK driving license with no restrictions
- Based in or close to Berkshire / Buckinghamshire / Oxfordshire area
- Ideally holds qualifications in IT, Electrical or Electronics
- Installation & repair experience
- Highly organised with excellent communication skills
- Comfortable working remotely in outdoor conditions, with having to use ladders or be in high up surroundings.
- Comfortable with some rare overnight working
- Great customer service skills
The standard hours for the role are, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm with overtime work required from time to time or during busy periods. For this role, the business are looking to pay a salary of £30,000 per annum with additional benefits such as:
