Commercial Manager – IT / SaaS Sales
Based in Henley-on-Thames, DB Charles Recruitment have been working with a brilliant company seeking to hire a new permanent Commercial Manager to join the team and continue contributing to the success and growth they have experienced over the last 10 years.
The business has been established for over 10 years and in this time has seen great growth in turnover but also the size of personnel involved and they are now hoping to attract a new candidate for this position. The business are based within the IT sector and are Software Developers offering a wide range of services and products across numerous channels. Most recently the business have been successful in being nominated and winning awards for the work they have done and they hope working for a business with this type of reputation plus further growth to come will be an attractive proposition for future candidates.
The Commercial Manager will report directly into the MD and oversee some of the Sales team as well as the Bids / Tender Manager. The main focus of the role will be new business development, developing repeat business, account management as well as other key attributes such as growing the brands presence through marketing activities.
With the role covering a variety of areas, some of the key day to day duties involved will be:
- New business development
- Account management
- Bids & tender work
- Marketing duties
- Pricing & quotation
- Attending onsite client meetings & presentations
- Solution delivery
- Cold calling
- Implementations
- Report writing
- Team training & management
- Working towards team / individual KPI’s & training
The business is seeking candidates with the following demonstrable experience:
- Must hold a commercial sales background within IT / App / SaaS focussed sales
- Some exposure to marketing / brand duties
- Excellent sales / account management skills
- Ability to build new business from scratch
- Must hold a full UK driving license
- An educational background with an IT focus would be advantageous however not essential
- Strong communication skills
- Calm mannered
- Ability to commit to permanent role based in Henley-on-Thames with hybrid working on offer
The role is a Monday to Friday position with hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm and the business are ideally seeking to pay a base salary dependent of experience of between £45,000 to £50,000 per annum and other aspects to note:
- Strong UNCAPPED bonus earning potential
