DB Charles Recruitment are working with a client based in Colwick, Nottingham that are currently working with us to find and hire a great new candidate for a Business Development Executive position on a permanent basis.

The business has been long established within the telecommunications world with a history dating over 30 years and they are currently in an excellent position with a number of high performing teams on-site and they hope to attract a candidate excited by the prospect of working with their business.

The role is a permanent position for a Business Development Executive to be based from the office site in Colwick, Nottingham and the role is predominantly to over achieve towards sales targets & KPI’s of the products and services on offer but in doing so, ensuring the best levels of service and standards are delivered at all times.

Overall day to day duties for the role will include:

  • Working towards targets & KPI’s
  • Selling and working within a specific geographical patch
  • Liaising and working closely with a field based business manager
  • Creating, finding and following up on new business opportunities
  • Chasing up leads
  • Organising appointments and meetings for the field based business manager
  • Ability to identify businesses to approach and to speak to decision makers
  • Telephone sales
  • Diary management
  • Cold calling
  • Understanding and staying up to date with product knowledge
  • Report writing
  • Weekly & monthly management meetings

DB Charles have spoken at length with the client on the various skill sets and backgrounds they seek in order to hire, including a number of the below:

  • A preferable experience within telecommunications or certainly a keen interest towards IT and telecoms
  • An extensive background within telephone sales and cold calling
  • A degree would be advantageous however not essential
  • An excellent telephone manner
  • Driven to succeed in hitting targets & KPI’s
  • Lead chasing ability
  • A quick ability to build rapport
  • Highly organised
  • Team player
  • Working knowledge of basic IT systems
  • Commitment to a permanent role based in Nottingham

The client is offering a salary of £18,000K per annum and the role is from Monday to Friday with the hours of 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday and on Friday’s 9:00am to 5:00pm
