Area Sales Manager – Commercial Catering

A group business are experiencing fantastic results and are working with DB Charles to recruit for a new permanent Area Sales Manager to focus on developing new business and building on existing relationships within London Zones 1 to 5 in the Commercial Catering industry.

The group business is widely recognised within their industry of building services & commercial catering and they have a company history spanning over 80 years accumulating in a fantastic reputation, turnover and people based success.

Day to day responsibilities for the role will involve but not be limited to the following:

  • Driving new sales & business opportunities
  • Meetings & presentations
  • Lead chasing
  • Networking
  • CRM system management
  • KPI & sales target management
  • Developing existing relationships
  • Account management
  • Reporting
  • Competitor analysis
  • Liaising with other internal teams

For this role, the client is seeking CV’s with aspects of the following skill sets:

  • A previous background within Sales ideally within the commercial catering industry or similar industry
  • Knowledge of commercial kitchens
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Driven
  • The ability to be persistent and bold
  • Target motivated
  • Good business sense
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office packages, plus CRM databases
  • Preferably based in a location with excellent travel connections to Central London areas
  • Ability to commit to a permanent role that will cover business based in London between Zones 1 to 5. In addition, the role will require x1 day a months travel to Stevenage to discuss the month with the sales team & management.

The role will be working Monday to Friday with hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm and the client is looking to offer a base salary of between £25,000 to £30,000 per annum with an uncapped commission scheme on top. The role will also offer some great additional benefits such as:

  • Remote home working capability, requiring x1 day a month to be office based in Stevenage
